CVHA Presidents Update January 3rd, 2022
January 3, 2022 Up To Date Information Regarding Provincial Government Announcement & the impact on  CVHA/Vaughan Rangers Programing.

I would like to thank all our coaches, conveners, volunteers, CVHA Executives & office staff for all the effort and dedication they have put forward. As well I would like to thank the CVHA and Vaughan Rangers parents and players for their ongoing commitment & support to our programs.

Regrettably, we find ourselves once again in a position to pause our CVHA/Vaughan Rangers program due to the ongoing Covid Pandemic and the increasing case counts.

On December 31st, the GTHL, our Governing Body, issued a press release that as of January 2nd that a pause of all activities at all levels (House League, Select, ‘A,’ ‘AA,’ and ‘AAA’), including games, practices, and tournaments will take effect until January 12, 2022.

Today, January 3, 2022 the Provincial Government announced further restriction & measures. As of January 5, 2022, at 12:01 a.m. all Hockey Activity will pause for a Minimum 21 days (until January 27) as recreational facilities will remain closed. As well today, January 3, 2022, we received additional confirmation from the GTHL, that all GTHL organizations, teams or players cannot participate in any indoor activities.

As such we are putting a hold on all games, practices, exhibition games, tournaments & on ice session until such time we are permitted to do so once again in a safe manner. The CVHA is fully committed to completing the regular season and is working towards that end.
In our effort to keep you as up to date and informed as possible we will be posting the most current information on our website vaughanhockey.com . I will be issuing broadcast emails as more information is made available to us by the Provincial and Local Governments as well as our Governing Body (GTHL).

I have included links to the Provincial Announcement and the GTHL Announcement made today January3, 2022.

I wish you and your families the very best for 2022 and look forward to a healthy and safe return to hockey in 2022.
