CVHA MENTORSHIP & MEDIA CONTENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
The CVHA is extremely proud of a very successful 2023/2024 Mentorship Program with over 50 combined House League and Ranger participants who Mentored our younger players.  This season we are excited to continue our Mentorship Program with hopes of exceeding last years program volunteers.  In addition to our Mentorship of CVHA House League Players, we are also pleased to introduce our Media Content Program for those players who have an interest in photography and social media.

ABOUT OUR MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

The fundamental foundation and building blocks of organized sports is our volunteers. Keeping our youth engaged to become future coaching volunteers starts with their continued passion for the game.  The CVHA recognizes the importance of community mentoring programs which provides an opportunity for our current CVHA House League & Vaughan Ranger participants who are at least 15 years of age to mentor younger players in our House League programs.

Working along side a House League Coach during their practices, Mentors will provide support, encouragement and assist in the development of other youth. Each mentor will learn leadership skills and maximize their potential to develop individual skills that may assist both off and on the ice.

Applicants, once approved and with consent of their guardian, will be assigned to a house league team and contacted by the head coach. House league teams practice on Saturdays throughout the season from September to March.

MEDIA CONTENT VOLUNTEER

The CVHA being a community based program would also like to provide opportunities for our members who are at least 15 years of age and enrolled in Secondary School with a specific interest in Photography and Social Media to demonstrate their non hockey skills and help promote our great Association. The participants will be asked to attend House League, Vaughan Ranger Select and Rep practices and/or games, plus other CVHA events using their own equipment to take photos and create content for our Association and its members. These will be used on our website and other social media platforms. While performing this role, the participant will also receive volunteer hours towards their mandatory graduation requirements or can be used to enhance any portfolio they are creating.

What better way to earn school volunteer hours than through our
Mentor and Media Content Programs!
