Presidents Update Spring 2021
CVHA Players, Parents and Volunteers,

I hope this communication finds you and your families well. I want to thank you for your patience as we waited for final direction from our governing body, the GTHL, on the fate of the 2020-21 hockey season in Vaughan.

Having to cancel the Fall portion of our program this past October and then to cancel the remaining portion of the Winter program for the House League children in January, was heartbreaking.

Unfortunately, due to the situation we found ourselves in at the time, there was no viable option. The Vaughan Rangers AA, A & Select programs still had a glimmer of hope, but all possible options to commence play were soon exhausted. With the GTA regions in the grey and red zones and the majority of arenas in Vaughan, Toronto, Markham and Mississauga without ice, has led the GTHL to finalize its decision and cancel the balance of the 2020/21 season, as of March 26th.(See Official GTHL Announcement here)

With the official news of the cancellation of the 20/21 season, we can now shift our focus and look forward to the 2021/22 hockey season.
Over the coming weeks we will have more information to share about our House League program and registration for 2021-22 season. Hockey Canada is introducing a new registration system and we are hopeful to be able to start registration sometime in June.
We will post all available information and updates on our website, social media and through email correspondence. Please frequent our website for updates. If you are seeking House League program information, please email your questions to [email protected] or call 905-417-1046.
